Ana Ferreira

Dr. Ana Ferreira is a senior cybersecurity specialist, researcher and teacher at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Porto. Her research focuses on cybersecurity, data privacy, regulatory environment and interaction design within the main context of healthcare and digital health, where she leads and collaborates with various research projects. She is the author of more than 125 scientific publications and frequently participates as a European Commission Cybersecurity Expert Evaluator for European research projects, in those topics. Currently, she is also the member of ENISA's (European Agency for Cybersecurity) Advisory Group and one of the Top 100 most influential women in Cybersecurity in Europe. Ana was selected as the Top 20 Most Inspiring Women in Cyber in 2022, won the Cybersecurity Woman of the Year Awards 2022, in the category “Barrier Breaker” and was the Top 20 finalist of the Cyber Security Woman of the World Edition 2024. She is a Co-Founder of Women4Cyber Portugal, where she leads the team for Research and Innovation, is a mentor for the European Women4Cyber Foundation since its first edition and regularly participates in several other mentoring programs such as Google Cybersecurity Certification and Cybersafe. Ana is currently the member of the Global Council for Responsible AI (GCRAI) where she aims, with her expertise and willingness to change the world for a better place, to promote safer and more transparent and responsible AI.
