Matthew Sharp

Matthew is a co-founder of CISO Evolution, LLC. He is a business-savvy cloud executive bringing stakeholders together in a commitment to cybersecurity best practices that balance mission, risk, and regulation. He combines his business acumen and robust background in cybersecurity operations, sales, consulting, and management to harvest tangible business outcomes and promote enterprise cyber resilience. Previously he served as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Logicworks, responsible for information security governance, risk management, strategy, architecture, and compliance. Following their rapid expansion, Logicworks was acquired by Cox Communications, and Matthew left to pursue personal passions. Before Logicworks, Matthew served as Head of Global Information Security at Crocs, Inc., Director of Strategic Services Optiv (formerly FishNet Security), and managed security consulting teams at Experis IT among other security and consulting positions. Matthew serves as an advisory board memember for several security organizations including F5, Coalfire, CyberGRX, NopSec, and YL Ventures. He is an Official Member of the Forbes Technology Council and a best-selling author featured in the Forbes Executive Library, SANS Recommended Reading and the Cybersecurity Canon. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer & Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, a Master of Business Administration in Business from Colorado State University, and over 14 technology and security-related licenses and certifications.
